Bahrain Mirror: Mother of detainee Ali Faisal demanded the officials in the Bahraini Ministry of Interior to release her son or transfer him to the Al-Salmaniya Medical Complex in order to be examined by specialized doctors after he suffered from a sudden epilepsy seizure.
"My 23-year-old son was arrested in 2013. He did not suffer from any disease or disability and he was healthy even after his arrest," she said.
"Ali did not call us last week. The family visit was scheduled on the same week. The visit was supposed to be at 7 a.m. Ali; however, showed up late. Every time I searched for him, the prison officials asked me to wait. They brought him after 45 minutes," the mother added.
"Ali remained silent, he couldn't talk. I was surprised to find out that he suffered from a sudden epilepsy seizure the previous night. This was the first time he suffers from such a thing, he is a youth and has not suffered from any disease before his arrest," Ali's mother further stated.
She went on to say that "his psychological situation is really bad and I haven't received any call from him since about a week after the last visit," calling on the officials in the Ministry of Interior to let her son meet a consultant to receive the adequate medical care.
