Bahraini Interior Ministry: NYPD Ready to Exchange Expertise with Bahrain

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Interior Ministry announced that the New York Police Department (NYPD) in the United States said it is willing to contribute to exchanging expertise with Bahrain, in the field of police work and force.
In a statement issued Saturday (September 17, 2016), the Interior Ministry quoted the second senior official at the office of the State's Public Security Chief, James O'Neill, saying, "the entire NYPD is willing to contribute to exchanging expertise and knowledge in a way that achieves the aspirations of both sides."
Chief O'Neill's statement came at the time when the Southern Province governor, Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, visited the NYPD headquarters, where he met the second senior officer at office of the State's Chief of Public Security.
The Interior Ministry said that, "the governor was briefed on a number of programs and experiments that the New York Police implements, particularly the (CompStat) program, which had a direct contribution to organizing the Police work, and reducing crime rates. The southern province governor also observed the direct relations system between the city Mayor's office, and the Police Chief, in addition to the role the NYPD does to serve the society and maintain its entity. Moreover, Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa took a lot at the (311) system based on civil cases, and opening a communication channel between the residents and the police, with regards to the small and medium crimes."
