Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain Health Ministry family medicine consultant Dr Kawthar Al-Eid said: "Bahrain is so far cholera-free but infections are expected among people coming back from Iraq," adding that four suspected cases of cholera have been reported in the country on December 11, 2015.
A contingency plan is being enforced to prevent an outbreak, Al-Eid further stated, stressing that people will not be allowed to bring food from Iraq as part of the preventive measures.
"With the awareness of the Bahraini citizens of this epidemic, we don't expect any further cases," she added, assuring that "all diagnostic equipment and medical supplies are available."
