Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's security authorities arrested late Sunday night (January 3, 2016) the Shiite cleric Sheikh Ali Bin Ahmad Al-Jadhafsi after summoning him for interrogation over delivering a speech condemning the Saudi regime's execution of the prominent Shiite cleric Sheikh Nimr Al-Nimr.
The family of Al-Jadhafsi reported that the authorities decided to detain him and refer him to the Prosecution.
Member of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights, activist Hussain Radhi, also said that the authorities arrested in early Monday morning (January 4, 2016) optometrist Dr. Saeed Al-Samahiji after raiding his home.
Dr. Al-Samahiji had expressed, in a series of tweets published on his personal Twitter account, his condemnation of the Saudi execution of Sheikh Al-Nimr and 3 other prisoners of conscience.
Al-Samahiji had been previously arrested along with the medical staff accused of treating the protestors wounded during February and March of 2011. He was sentenced to 6 months in prison and was released after he served his sentence. However, the authorities arrested him again in 2014 after sentencing him to another year in prison over insulting the King on Twitter, and was released after finishing his sentence.
