Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Bahrain decided to ban maritime navigation from and to Iran two days after the Civil Aviation Affairs announced a ban on flights with Iran.
A statement announcing the decision made by the Bahraini Ministry of Transportation said: "Due to the severing of diplomatic ties between Bahrain and Iran, the Bahraini ships (which raise the Bahraini flag) are suspended from visiting Iranian Ports. Iranian ships which raise the Iranian flag and other ships coming directly from Iran to the Bahraini Ports are also not allowed to enter".
"Other Ships whose last three dockings include Iranian ports are subjected to the approval of the security authorities before entering", the statement added.
