Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini cabinet discussed in its regular session a number of topics listed on its agenda, mainly a memorandum submitted by the Minister of Interior to the cabinet about "regulations to control the travel of citizens to hazardous countries experiencing armed conflicts or terrorist incubators," in reference to Syria, Iraq and Iran whereto tens of thousands of Shiite citizens head in order to visit the holy sites.

The Cabinet Secretary-General Yasser Al-Nasser said that the Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman suggested in the meeting held on Monday (January 18, 2016) to "lessen the advantages and privileges of ministers and senior officials, decrease the expenditure in official missions" and assigned the ministerial committee for financial affairs and rationalization of spending and the civil service board to file the suggestions in this regard.

The cabinet also discussed a number of memoranda on its agenda, particularly "the bill proposed by the Minister of Interior regarding a number of regulations that would control the travel of citizens to hazardous countries experiencing armed conflicts or terrorist incubators," in reference to Syria, Iraq and Iran.

The cabinet also referred to the Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs the Interior Minister's memorandum regarding the continuing fulfilment of customs duties on imported goods similar to the protected national products within the framework of the provisions of law 11/1985 on the protection and support of national products.
