57 Suspects of Jaw Prison Incident Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison & Fined over 508,000 Dinars

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Fourth High Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Ali bin Khalifa Al-Dhahrani with the membership of Mohammad Awad and Wael Ibrahim and Ahmad Al-Sulaiman as secretariat, accused 57 suspects of rioting in Jaw Central Prison and sentenced all the defendants to 15 years in prison and fined them 508,187 Bahraini Dinars and 970 fils to compensate for cost of damages.
All the suspects were detained over political cases and the authorities accused them later on of rioting in Jaw Prison on March 10, 2015; the day when clashes broke out between the security forces and detainees.
Human rights organizations condemned the violations which the detainees were exposed to. The High Commissioner for Human Rights expressed his grave concern as well over the reports issued from Jaw Prison in March.
