Top Bahraini Shiite Cleric Passes Away

Bahrain Mirror: One of Bahrain's prominent Shiite clerics, Sayed Jawad Al-Wedai passed away on Monday (March 21, 2016) after a struggle with illness.
Al-Wedai was one of the leading clerics who took stance in solidarity with the February 14 uprising that sought putting an end to the ruling Al Khalifa family's monopoly over power.
Al-Wedai had also called in the 1990s for the restoration of the parliament.
