Bahrain Mirror: The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah categorically denied that Hezbollah interfered in Bahrain by arming or training any opponents of the Bahraini regime.

Nasrallah's comments came in a televised interview with Al-Mayadeen channel on Monday night (March 21, 2016), in response to a question about the confessions of Bahraini opposition figures that the Al-Arabiya channel aired, and in which Hezbollah was mentioned.

"Everything that was said about Hezbollah arming people in Bahrain is a false accusation that has no grounds whatsoever," he stressed, further stating: "We didn't send arms; we didn't give weapons to anyone and we didn't train or form any cells in Bahrain."

"Since the first day of the events that took place in Bahrain, we called on the Bahraini people to adhere to peacefulness and follow the leading clerics in Bahrain, namely Ayatollah Qassem," Nasrallah added, pointing out that "the top clerics in Bahrain adopted a peaceful approach, which (opposition) political societies and a large portion of the Bahraini people committed to."

He further highlighted that if Hezbollah had anything to do with what happened in Bahrain, they wouldn't have denied it and would have openly announced it, as was the case with Hezbollah's participation in military operations in Syria, which the party publically declared.

The Bahraini authorities have repeatedly accused Hezbollah of having involvement in security operations inside the island kingdom and military training of dissenters.
