Bahrain Mirror: The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said that the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued law 11/2016, stipulating the ratification of the Second Protocol for Amendment of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of the United States of America, after being approved by the Shura Council.

The law stipulates:

Article (1)

The Second Protocol for Amendment of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of the United States of America in Washington dated 10 June 2015 was ratified.

Article (2)

The Prime Minister and the ministers each in his domain shall implement this law which becomes effective from the next day following the date of its publication on the Official Gazette.

It is noteworthy that the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Zayed Al-Zayani, signed the Second Protocol for Amendment in Washington on (June 10, 2015) with the US, which was represented by Dan Mullaney, Assistant United States Trade Representative for Europe and the Middle East.
