Activist Khalil Al-Halwachi's 1st Trial Adjourned, after 2 Years of Detention

Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): A Bahraini court adjourned on Tuesday (June 21, 2016) the trial of human rights activist Khalil Al-Halwachi to after the judicial leave, which lasts for two months, without setting a specific date for the next hearing.
The authorities have detained Al-Halwachi for about two years before referring him to court.
The Public Prosecution accuses Al-Halwachi of acquiring arms; a charge that he denies. Fatima Al-Halwachi, Khalil's daughter and member of the European-Bahraini Organization for Human Rights, stressed in a letter to the President of the European Parliament that the authorities fabricated the charge against her father.
