Bahrain Mirror: Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that strpping Bahrain's Shia spiritual leader Sheikh Isa Qassim of his citizenship means that "there would no longer be an obstacle preventing these young enthusiasts from rising up against the regime" or remaining silent.
"In Bahrain, there is a tyrannical minority oppressing the majority. Now they have assaulted the esteemed mujahid, cleric Sheikh Isa Qassim," said Ayatollah Khamenei in a statement made on Saturday (June 25, 2016) during a meeting with families of Iranian martyrs.
"This is blatant foolishness and insanity," he added, stressing that Sheikh Qassim was a moderate who would have worked to "prevent extremist tactics."
