Bahrain Mirror: Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission of the US Congress called on the Government of Bahrain on Friday (July 1, 2016) to immediately release the president of Bahrain Center for Human Rights, Nabeel Rajab.

In a tweet posted on its official Twitter account, mentioning the Bahraini Ministry of Interior, the commission stressed that Nabeel Rajab is "a prisoner of conscience who should be released immediately and unconditionally."

Rajab's lawyer, Jalila Al-Sayed stressed that Rajab's health has deteriorated due to being held in solitary confinement since his arrest on June 12.
