Bahrain Mirror: The high administrative court rejected a case submitted by an employee in Electricity and Water Authority demanding to suspend his dismissal decision.
The court said that dismissal decision came after the employee was convicted of hiding a security wanted fugitive.
The defendant submitted a case demanding to suspend the sentence issued against him; dismissing him from the Electricity and Water Authority, and bind the authority to reinstate him and pay the lawyer's fees.
The defendant said that he used to work as a supervisor in the Safety and Security Department. The authority decided to dismiss him after he was sentenced to prison over hiding one of the security wanted fugitives.
The authorities punish anyone who shelters wanted fugitives over political background.
Human rights organizations say that there are about 4000 Bahraini citizens behind bars over politically motivated charges.
