Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Public Prosecution ordered on Monday (August 15, 2016) the arrests of Dr. Taha Al-Dirazi, Mulla Hani Besira and religious reciter Ali Aman, over charges of assembling. The prosecution; however, ordered the release of the head of the Religious Freedoms Department at the Bahrain Human Rights Observatory, Sheikh Maytham Al-Salman, after raising the same charge against him.
The Northern Governorate's Deputy Prosecutor, Mahmoud Al-Siddiqi, announced that "the public prosecution received a notice from the Budaiya Police Station reporting that an individual participated in an assembly in Diraz and was arrested for repeating this action despite being warned."
"The prosecution investigated the incident upon receiving the report, as it interrogated four suspects, ordered the arrest of three and the release of one suspect, after raising against them the charge of illegal assembling," he added, noting that investigations are still ongoing.
