Sunni Endowments Summons Preacher, Obliges him to Pledge to Abide by “Ethics of Religious Discourse”

Bahrain Mirror: The Sunni Waqf Endowment Directorate said that it summoned one of its preachers to inform him to stop preaching and sign a pledge to abide by the ethics of the religious discourse pursuant to the ministerial decision number 23/2009.
The directorate affirmed in its statement on the importance of abiding by the ethics of the religious discourse and aims of Friday sermons. The aforementioned decision stresses on the spreading of spirit of nationalism, preserving the nation's Islamic and Arab identity, promoting the concept of citizenship and coexistence with all classes and components of society and avoiding everything that would stir sedition.
