Bahrain Mirror: Special advisor to the speaker of parliament for international affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian stressed that the case of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim is a concern to all Muslims.
Abdollahian said in a statement that proceeding in Sheikh Isa's trial indicates negligence of the Bahraini government towards the sentiments of Muslims, highlighting that the case of Sheikh Qassim does not merely belong to the people of Bahrain.
"A sum of 210 of Iranian lawmakers have recently warned against the need for halting the insults by Al Khalifa government to religious sanctities and the need for respecting the rank of Sheikh Isa Qassim," he noted.
Abdollahian concluded saying "we understand the pressure on Al Khalifa amid the Saudi occupation to Bahrain," stressing that "the Bahraini government should be careful as not to be deceived by Saudi Arabia and to understand the negative consequences of Sheikh Isa Qassim's trial."
