Authorities Prevent Shiites from Performing Biggest Friday Prayers in Diraz

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's security forces prevented on Friday (October 7, 2016) the Shiite majority from performing the biggest Friday prayers, after they banned the Friday prayers Imam and worshippers from entering Diraz.
Months ago, the authorities launched a harsh campaign against the Shiite majority, revoked the nationality of their spiritual leader Sheikh Isa Qassim, and imposed an extreme siege on the town of Diraz. This siege banned the Friday prayers Imam and prayers from entering the town to pray in Imam Sadiq Mosque, which hosts the biggest Friday prayers of the Shiite sect.
A protest took off after the afternoon prayers from the Imam Sadiq mosque, in which they raised slogans against the regime. They demanded the end of discrimination against Shiites, and the freedom to perform their religious rituals.
