Iran Denounces Raid on al-Wefaq, Advises Bahrain to Quit “Police Approach”

Bahrain Mirror: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Bahram Qasemi, expressed Iran's concern and denouncement to the raid on Bahraini National Islamic Society al-Wefaq's offices. He advised Manama officials to quit their "police and security approach", and provide the circumstances for a serious and inclusive dialogue, through adopting trust-building measures.
Qasemi had expressed his country's concern and denouncement from the raid on a-Wefaq Society's headquarters, Bahrain's biggest opposition society. He added, "The Bahraini government's continuation on the path of security and violence against the religious and political leaders, and moderate political societies that believe in political and peaceful means, is among the Bahraini government's strategic and historical mistakes."
Qasemi concluded his statement saying, "We advise the Bahraini officials to quit the police and security approach, and adopt trust-building measures to act, and adopt a serious and inclusive dialogue."
