Appeals Court Upholds Life-Imprisonment Sentence against Suspect over Blowing Up Restroom in Sitra

Bahrain Mirror: The Supreme Appeals Court, presided over by Mohammad bin Ali Al Khalifa, with the secretariat of Naji Abdullah, upheld a first-degree verdict sentencing a defendant to life-imprisonment over causing an explosion in restroom in petrol station in Sitra and acquiring arms.
The first-degree court handed down life-imprisonment sentence to 3 suspects who took part in detonating bomb in restroom in petrol station in Sitra and acquiring arms and acquitted the first suspect (the appellant) of the charge of resisting policemen.
The Public Prosecution accused the suspects of detonating a bomb, endangering people's lives and money, aiming at intimidating people as well as acquiring explosives without a license from the Minister of Interior. The prosecution also accused the first and third suspects of acquiring arms and ammunitions without a license from the ministry of interior, for a terrorist aim.
The prosecution accused the first suspect of resisting the police while arresting him and accused the first and second suspects of acquiring explosives without a license from the minister of interior.
