Appeals Court Hands down 3-Year Jail Term to Defendant over Hiding 3 Wanted in his Father’s House in Diraz

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's High Criminal Court presided over by judge Mohammad bin Ali Al Khalifa and Naji Abdullah as secretariat commuted the 5-year jail term against a Bahraini suspect (29 years) to 3 years. The suspect was condemned of hiding 3 convicts "Ali Abdulshaheed Al-Singace who is sentenced to death penalty and 2 others sentenced to prison terms" in his father's house in Diraz.
The Public Prosecution accused the defendant of hiding 3 suspects "one of whom was sentenced to death penalty and 2 others who were sentenced to different prison terms, despite knowing that".
The authorities say that the suspect hid convicts in his house in Diraz. Thus, a policemen patrol raided the defendant's house where they found 3 wanted. The policemen arrested the defendant who confessed during interrogations that he hid the convicts. He said that he received a WhatsApp message from his cousin in Iran asking him to offer a shelter for security wanted person. The suspect told his cousin that he will prepare him a room in his father's house in Diraz
