Bahrain Mirror: The European Union said on Sunday (January 15, 2017) that it expressed concerns that the 3 dissidents executed by the Bahraini authorities did not receive their right to fair trial.
The EU said in a statement "This case is a serious drawback given that Bahrain had suspended executions for the past seven years."
"Concerns have been expressed about possible violations of the right to a fair process for the three convicted," it added.
As the EU rejected violence as a political tool and fully supported the stability and development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, it said that "it believes this can only be achieved through a sustainable and inclusive national reconciliation process."
