Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain condemned the United Nations' statements that criticized the regime's execution of 3 political dissidents.

The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations Office in Geneva and other international organizations, Ambassador Yousif Abdul Kareem Bucheeri, has rejected the allegations in the press release issued by the official spokesman for the Human Rights High Commissioner with respect to the executions.

Bucheeri claimed that the execution came after "series of legal procedures and judicial course throughout the ruling stages that resulted in a final conviction of the suspects and their sentencing to death," stressing "that the ruling was based on cogent evidence that the suspects committed the crimes." "The ruling met all the internationally recognized legal guarantees and conditions for a fair trial," he further stated.

Bucheeri urged the international organizations, governmental and non-governmental, to commit to credibility, transparency and objectivity in their reports and press releases in order to avoid false stories that contradict reality.
