Bahrain Mirror: The Fifth High Criminal Court presided over by Judge Ibrahim Al-Zayed and membership of judges Mohsen Mabrouk and Moutaz Abo Al-Ezz and Yousef Bu Hardan as secretariat adjourned on Monday (January 23, 2017) the case of prominent human rights defender and president of Bahrain Center for Human Rights, Nabeel Rajab until February 21 to listen to the investigations officer.

The Public Prosecution submitted today a technical report stating that it confiscated a laptop and 2 iPhone 6 devices from Rajab, adding that it found a group of electronic accounts including "Nabeel Rajab's account"; the subject of the lawsuit. Rajab's defence team said that Rajab has no link to the account.

Rajab is on trial over tweets he posted in March 2015 on his own Twitter account through which he criticized war on Yemen and torture in Jaw Prison.

Rajab also faces another case referred by the Prosecution to the court. He is accused of disseminating rumors based on an old television interview in which he tackled human rights violations in Bahrain.
