Bahrain Mirror: UAE authorities released Thursday (January 26, 2017), Emirati academic and Political Sciences professor Abdulkhaleq Abdullah, 10 days after his arrest.

Security authorities did not comment on Abdullah's arrest, while he commented on his "Twitter" account saying, "I was on a surprise and fun trip".

Amnesty International had said after Abdulkhaleq's arrest that he fears he is a "prisoner of conscience".
