Bahrain Mirror: Amnesty International expressed last Friday (January 27, 2017) its grave concerns that Bahraini detainee Sayed Alawi Moussawi is a victim of enforced disappearance and is at risk of torture and other ill-treatment.
Al-Sayed Alawi Hussain al-Alawi continues to be detained without charge or access to a lawyer since his arrest in October 2016, Amnesty added.
The international human rights watchdog also noted that his family have not heard from him since 14 December 2016, nor have they received any information about his whereabouts or well-being.
Moreover, Amnesty said it had contacted the Public Prosecution and Interior Minister pertaining to Sayed Alawi's case, yet it has not received any response from them.
