Bahrain Mirror- Exclusive: Bahrain Center for Human Rights member Safaa Al-Khawaja said that the National Institute for Human Rights (NIHR) started to provide services to the authorities that are not linked to its job as human rights institution.

Al-Khawaja indicated that the NIHR statements regarding the attack carried out against protestors in Diraz through masked and armed members raise questions. How can a human rights institution issue statement about the incidents' details and give its opinion about it when the ministry of interior has not issued any statement in this regard yet?!

Al-Khawaja stressed that these stances prove that the institute lacks independence from the authorities' decision.
