Appeals Court: 2&3- Year Jail Term to 10 Suspects over Assembly Case in Karana

Bahrain Mirror: The Supreme Court of Appeal presided over by Judge Mohammad bin Ali Al Khalifa and Naji Abdullah as secretariat amended the prison verdict issued against 10 appellant from 3-5 years in prison to 2-3 years.
The court commuted the 5-year jail term of 5 appellants to 3 years and the 5-year jail term of 5 other suspects to 2 years over assembling on Karana.
The Fourth High Criminal court had sentenced 6 suspects to 5 years in prison and 5 others to 3 years in a case linked to assembling and burning tires in Al-Buadi street and endangering people's lives and money. The court also ordered confiscation of seized items.
The Public Prosecution accused the 11 suspects of setting fire to assets, along with others, on September 23, 2014, endangering people's lives and money, taking part in an assembly of more than 5 persons aiming at disrupting public peace, adding that they used violence to achieve the goal they gathered for, as well as putting public transportation to danger.
