Foreign Minister Participates in Int’l Coalition to Fight ISIS, Meets National Security Advisor to American President in Washington

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, took part in the meeting of the international coalition to fight the terrorist organization ISIS held in the US Department of State in Washington yesterday (Wednesday, March 22, 2017).
He noted that "the meeting was an opportunity to reassess the efforts exerted to combat this terrorist organization and the progress made by the coalition in fighting terrorism at various fronts as well as rearrange priorities in line with developments to ensure the rapid elimination of this organization."
The minister stressed the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to supporting the international coalition to fight the ISIS organization and to cooperate with all regional and international efforts aimed at combating terrorism as well as supporting the efforts of the Iraqi government, calling for continued cooperation and communication with Iraq during the next phase to ensure success in this war, reconstruct the infrastructure of the affected Iraqi cities due to terrorism and those liberated from the grips of ISIS and provide humanitarian support to Iraqi children.
In the same context, Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs met Wednesday (March 22, 2017) in Washington the National Security Advisor to the American President, Herbert McMaster in the framework of his official visit to the United States of America.
McMaster welcomed the minister's visit, affirming United States' keenness to continue and develop close cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain and continue to consolidate bilateral relations and praising Bahrain's efforts to promote stability in the region and the fight against terrorism.
On the sideline of the meeting of the international coalition to fight ISIS, the Bahraini minister met yesterday the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini and the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop.
