Bahrain Mirror: The Third Minor Criminal Court presided over by judge Jaber Al-Jazzar and Hussein Yousif as a secretariat sentenced the custodian of the Zahraa (as) Mosque in Hamad City to one month in prison with the execution of sentence over submitting fake notice.

During yesterday's session, lawyer Abdulaziz Al-Mousa presented attesting witnesses who said that the suspect is head of a family and has children suffering from sickle cell anemia. The witnesses affirmed that the suspect is known for his good conduct and behavior.

Al-Mousa demanded his client's innocence and requested him be treated with mercy if convicted.

The custodian of the Mosque had submitted a notice to the police station in which he said that he was under an attack before dawn prayers by 2 masked people who wanted to steal his money and that one of the masked people bet him with a wooden stick causing him injuries.

The prosecution said that it launched an investigation after reviewing the documents and questioned the custodian who admitted the charge. He admitted that he submitted a fake notice to the security authorities and that he faked his attack incident by injuring himself and asking an Asian worker to take his photos, according to the prosecution.

The Asian worker highlighted that he photographed the custodian upon his request and handed him the photos.

The custodian then headed to the police station and told them that his first notice was false and justified doing so due to psychological pressures that make him think that someone is chasing him and wants to attack him.

The prosecution accused him of submitting fake notice to the authorities.
