5 Bahrain Foreign Ministry Ambassadors to be Replaced, Interior Minister’s Son to be Appointed as New Ambassador to US

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini authorities have officially relocated today five ambassadors to the foreign ministry including the ambassador to the United States, as a preliminary step for replacing them. According to circulated information, Abdallah bin Rashid bin Khalifa, the interior minister's son, will be appointed as the new Bahrain ambassador to the United States in the coming period.
The Bahraini Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa issued Edict 6/2017 relocating ambassadors to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs general court.
The Edict stipulated the relocation of the following ambassadors to the general court of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
1- Ambassador Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Hassan, Head of Bahrain's Diplomatic Mission in Japan.
2- Ambassador Tariq Mubarak Bin Dainah, Head of Bahrain's Diplomatic Mission in India,
3- Ambassador Adel Yousef Satir, Head of Bahrain's Diplomatic Mission in Thailand Kingdom.
4- Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Head of Bahrain's Diplomatic Mission in the USA.
5- Ambassador Ibrahim Mahmoud Ahmed Abdullah, Head of Bahrain's Diplomatic Mission in Federal Republic of Germany.
It further stated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs will implement this Edict, which becomes effective from June 1, 2017, and will be also published in the Official Gazette.
