Number Plate Auction in Bahrain Generates more than BD 1.700 Million

Bahrain Mirror: Mazad's number plate auction held on Thursday (April 13, 2017) has generated BD1.725 million, according to Bahrain News Agency.
In a statement, Mazad's CEO, Talal Al-Araifi, said that the auction included forty combinations of a new series of numbers introduced specifically for the auction. The new series of numbers started from 600000. He said that about 1500 participated in the auction that generated BD1.725 million.
Mazad is one of the companies affiliated to Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company. It is governmental group that manages a number of assets, most notably Bahrain International Circuit, the airport and Gulf Air.
Mumtalakat is considered the economic hand of the Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad and its revenues are not included in the government budget.
