Bahrain Mirror: The Executive Director of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khalid al-Ruwaihi promised that his chamber will convene with business owners whose businesses were affected by the Diraz siege. This comes after several complaints were filed by the business owners regarding their shops located in Diraz.
"I told the [chamber] president that we will convene with business owners whose businesses were affected in Diraz due to events, and we will see what solutions they hope to see, and see what the chamber's role would be", al-Ruwaihi told reporters according to local daily al-Wasat.
"We will raise all proposals to concerned bodies; the Ministry of Interior or Ministry of Commerce", he went on to say.
More than 300 days passed on the security siege imposed on the West Manama town of Diraz. The siege was installed after the launched of an open sit-in in protest against the authorities' move to revoke the citizenship of Shiite majority religious leader, Ayatollah, Sheikh Isa Qassim.
