Constitutional Court Rejects All Appeals, One MP Out, One Candidate In

Bahrain Mirror-KUNA: The Constitutional Court announced its verdict on Wednesday rejecting all appeals of the parliament election 2016, but accepted membership of candidacy Faraj Al-Arbid as Member of Parliament (MP) and the annulment of Marzouq Al-Khalifa's membership in the parliament.
Last February, the court decided to hold all electoral appeals filed by candidates to the results of National Assembly elections 2016 in five constituencies and setting today's session to pronounce the verdict.
Last January 4th, the court also announced the submission of reports from the Ministry of the Interior regarding the 2016 National Assembly elections, including counting minutes, and the summary screening minutes received from the National Assembly.
National Assembly election took place last year on 26th of November, which resulted in the election of 50 members of Parliament representing five constituencies.
