Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's First High Criminal Court presided over by judge Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa and memberships of judges Dia'a Huraidi and Jamal Awad and Abdullah Hassan as a secretariat sentenced a defendant to 10 years in prison and 10 others to 5 years (because they are under 18) over torturing a youth in Diraz.
The prosecution accused the suspects of deliberately harming the victim aiming at acquiring information from him regarding a work he is suspected to have done.
The court said that it sentenced the 10 suspects with mercy because they were under 18.
The authorities claim that a youth was attacked in Diraz, sustained various injuries in his body and was transferred to the hospital as a result. The victim said that he was beaten by a group of people after accusing him of being an "informant".
