Court of Appeals Upholds 3-Year Jail Term against Defendant over Burning Tires in front of Interior Ministry

hrain Mirror: The Supreme Court of appeals rejected the objection of a suspect and upheld a 3-year jail verdict against him.
The First High Criminal Court had sentenced 13 suspects in a case that comprises 14 suspects to 3 years in prison over a case of assembly and arson in Manama in front the Interior Ministry building and acquitted one suspect of the charges attributed to him.
The Public Prosecution charged the suspects with setting fire to tires that would put people's lives and money to danger and taking part in an assembly of more than 5 persons. The suspects, however, denied the charges.
