MPs Approve 10 BD Fees on Sewage Network Extension

Bahrain Mirror: The Council of Representatives approved in its Tuesday (May 9, 2017) session a proposal to impose a fixed 10 Bahraini Dinar fee (paid once), for the extension of sewage network. The member of parliament agreed not to impose any monthly fees for sewage services bills for foreigners.
The parliament's Public Utilities Committee recommended that 10% tax should be imposed for using the sewage network services on a monthly basis; the MPs however rejected it. This comes after a long discussion regarding the draft law, and in reference to the amendment to some provisions in the laws and rules on the sewage system and rainwater disposal system.
