Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society said that it is "not part of the Gulf crisis over Qatar", commenting on the recent propaganda against it. Al-Wefaq confirmed that it "has, since the beginning of the crisis, received many initiatives from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, and other foreign countries, to talk and exchange opinion on the crisis."

In a statement issued Saturday, al-Wefaq indicated that "all its official political communications with officials and diplomats are announced, and have been ongoing since the society's establishment, with the knowledge of the Bahraini government."

"Some Gulf mediators in 2011 were referred to by the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry's report, and the regime has rejected all those initiatives as there is no official will for resolving the crisis," the opposition party further noted.

Moreover, Al-Wefaq believed that dragging its name into the Gulf rift, is merely an attempt to cover the crises faced by the country. "The political crisis contributed to emerging crises, including public debt and public deficit caused by taking part in the war on Yemen, continuing the augmentation of the internal security crisis, and involving in political naturalization, therefore causing a huge burden on the country's economy," the statement went on to say.

"Our communication with the international community and diplomatic authorities, including Gulf countries, comes as part of the normal political work to reach a solution for the political crisis in Bahrain," Al-Wefaq stated. It indicated, "The regime accused all those who tried to help the Bahrainis to escape the crisis of conspiring against it, including the High Commission for Human Rights, the United Nations, and its allies, such as the United States and others."

Bahrain's opposition society confirmed its adherence to his vision to achieve a radical change towards democracy in the Manama document, under international guarantees, and under UN sponsorship.

Al-Wefaq also asserted that the regime is escaping its merits through building accusations, at a time when the opposition insists on finding a national solution.

Furthermore, al-Wefaq stressed that "all these failed attempts to mislead the international public opinion and abort the national demanding movement, will not stop it from continuing the path towards achieving the just and legitimate demands of the Bahraini people."
