Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini government reduced the allowances of many items listed under the "recurrent expenses" section in the state budget for the years 2017 and 2018, especially in the financial allocations of next year (2018).
The cutback will affect important items under the "governmental support", notably: the rent raise, the improved living allowance for retirees, and the support of low-income families, knows as the price rise allowance.
Moreover, the cutback will affect the social security fund, a Labor Ministry fund that provides monthly support for 8 categories of citizens: widows, orphans, divorcees, the disabled, the unemployed, the elderly, families of prisoners, children, and unmarried girls.
The new state budget shows the continued allowances of all government agencies, except for the Royal Charity Foundation, which had 4 million BD allocated for it annually.
As for ministries, institutions and other bodies, the cutback was limited, and those apparatuses almost maintained the same spending level.
