Bahrain Mirror: The Bahrain Supreme Court of Appeal upheld a verdict issued against a Bahraini accused, along with 7 others, of burning tires in the Hamala area. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison along with 4 other defendants, while 3 others were sentenced to 3 years in prison. The court also ruled the confiscation of their belongings.
Authorities claim that the defendants, along with others, assembled in the Mazarie street in the Hamala area around 10:15 at the night of the incident, and possessed Molotov cocktails and car tires, which they set on fire using the Molotov.
The Public Prosecution said that on August 13, 2015, the defendants deliberately set fire to movable objects, endangering the lives of people and their properties. They were also accused of taking part, along with other unknown individuals, in an illegal assembly of more than 5 people, in an attempt to use violence to achieve their purpose of assembly.
