Labour Ministry: 87 Violations of Work Ban in Afternoon Hours Between July and August 21

Bahrain Mirror: The number of violations of the ban on work during afternoon hours, enforced by the law to protect workers, which was committed in the period between July 1 to August 21, 2017 reached 87, with 164 workers breaking the law.
Sabah al-Dosari, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, said that there was a considerable decrease in the number of violations between the current and previous year (2016), which reflects the growing awareness of the employers on the one hand and the efforts of the ministry's team of inspectors on the other hand.
An overview of some of the figures published by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in the last few weeks showed that the number of establishments violating the law was 15 and 33 workers at the end of the first week of July which rose to 26 establishments and 47 workers at the end of the second week and then increased to 61 companies and 117 workers by the end of the fourth week of the same month.
The number of violators increased reaching 80 companies, and 155 workers at the end of the sixth week (August), and then reached 87 companies and 164 workers by the end of the seventh week, with only one week remaining of the period specified by the law which comes to an end at the end of August.
