Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Ministry of Interior said that it arrested a number of individuals taking part in an unlicensed rally against a sisterly country. The Ministry said that it also arrested the main person who was shouting the slogans.
It said in a statement "In response to the video of an illegal rally that showed slogans-shouting against a GCC country, Deputy Chief of Public Security announced on Wednesday that an investigation had resulted in the identification of the participants and the arrest of some of them," adding that the search was on to arrest the remaining participants because such acts promoted disharmony, affected civil peace and were seditious.
The statement further read that article 215 of the Penal Code stated that a person faced "jail for up to two years or a fine of up to BD200 if he publicly insulted a foreign country or an international organization based in Bahrain or its president or representative. The same penalty shall apply to a person who offends such organization's flag or official emblem."
