Case of 11 Accused of Smuggling Wanted Suspects to Iran Adjourned until October 30

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Fourth High Criminal Court decided to adjourn the case of 11 defendants accused of attempting tio smuggle eight people wanted over political cases by sea to Iran until October 30, 2017.
The Coast Guard forces claimed to have apprehended 11 persons attempting to smuggle eight wanted men using a boat intended to head to Iran.
The authorities claim that those behind the operation are: Sadik Makki Jassim (sentenced to 10 years in prison, fugitive in Iran) and Sadik al-Hayki (sentenced to life imprisonment, fugitive in Iran).
The authorities further state that on the day of the incident they spotted the boat in northern Bahrain, and after it refused to stop, they chased, surrounded and took over the boat. The defendants, who had their personal identification cards, cash, mobile phones, clothes, personal belongings, a GPS device and a large amount of petrol on board, were arrested and legal action was taken.
