Bahrain Mirror: Due to lack of interest provisions, the High Administrative Court rejected a lawsuit, filed by a Bahraini lawyer, demanding the cancellation of the decisions and regulations issued by the General Directorate of Traffic regarding amending and increasing the traffic violation fines, claiming they violate the Constitution and law.

The plaintiff had filed his lawsuit and requested a judgment before a final decision. He demanded the lawsuit be referred to the constitutional court to be examined, and to decide upon the decisions of the first defendant. He also demanded the cancellation of the decisions and regulations issued by the first defendant concerning amending and increasing traffic violation fines and binding the defendants to pay attorney fees.

The first defendant- General Directorate of Traffic- had increased the fines related to traffic violations without considering the citizens' economic situation, thus violating the provisions of law and Constitution. Hence, the lawyer filed his lawsuit against the defendant.
