Court Fines Attesting Witness for not Attending Trial of Suspects Accused of Escaping Dry Dock Prison

Bahrain Mirror: The First High Criminal Court ordered the Public Prosecution to summon the 19th attesting witness in the case of 23 suspects who 17 of them could flee Dry Dock Prison on June 3, 2016, after attacking and beating a number of policemen and stealing a bus driven by an Asian man. The rest of the suspects whose ages range between 19 and 27 years helped the fugitives to flee and hid them.
The court decided to fine the witness, who did not show up in the court many times despite his summons, 50 BD and postponed the case until November 7 with the continued detention of the suspects whom 7 of them were arrested, according to the case documents.
