Bahrain Mirror: Deputy Attorney-General of the Family and Children's Office Hamad Al-Qallaf said that the Public Prosecutor's Office received a report from the Samaheej police station informing the main operating room that a 31-year-old man assaulted his father (59 years old) with a knife, causing two stab wounds, one on the chest and the other on his back, adding that he died after he was admitted to King Hamad Hospital.
"The Public Prosecution immediately opened an investigation into the incident by heading to King Hamad Hospital and inspecting the body of the deceased," he said, noting that "the forensic doctor was questioned to reveal the cause of the death, who concluded that the cause of death was a penetrating trauma to the chest."
The Prosecution then headed to the crime scene and assigned physical evidence experts to find evidence that would benefit the investigation.
The Public Prosecution completed the investigations by listening to the witnesses' statements, questioning the accused, who confessed to stabbing the victim, and creating a graphic illustration of the incident with the accused. The prosecution then charged the accused with premeditated murder.
