Bahrain Mirror: French energy firm Total's Chief Financial Officer Patrick de La Chevardiere said on Friday that the company continues to operate in Iran despite the foggy situation after US President Donald Trump decided not to ratify the Iranian nuclear deal.
De La Chevardiere told analysts in a telephone interview that the vision was expected to be clear in the coming months.
He said the group was proceeding with plans to announce tenders for its Iran South Pars gas project and the main contract would be awarded at the beginning of 2018 when there would be clarity from the US.
Asked about Total's interest in Iraq, he said the company would not accept conditions rejected by rivals in the Iraqi Majnoon field.
