Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain News Agency said reported that the United States Embassy condemned the blast that the Ministry of Interior claimed it targeted a police bus near Jidhafs, killing one policeman and injuring others.

The embassy's statement read: "The United States has condemned in the strongest terms the bombing of a police bus travelling on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway near Jidhafs on Friday that killed a policeman and injured eight others."

The embassy further stated "Friday's terrorist attack was deplorable. We urge all concerned to condemn such violence and to do everything possible to prevent it."
