Material Damage & Losses to Bahrain Petroleum Company after Explosion of Oil Pipeline

Bahrain Mirror: A huge fire broke out in Bahrain on Friday (November 10, 2017) following an explosion of an oil pipeline near residential areas in Buri south of the Bahraini capital Manama.
The fire, which lasted more than an hour, caused material damage to homes and vehicles, as well as significant financial losses to state-run Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco).
Bapco reported that the Higher Committee for Emergency Management confirmed that the damaged pipe was isolated and that the security and safety teams controlled the situation in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior.
The civil defense teams, in cooperation with technicians from the oil company, managed to contain the fire.
For its part, the Ministry of Interior said that it launched a cooling operation at the site of the fire and contained the damage in the surrounding area.
The security authorities confirmed that the explosion did not cause casualties, and said it was investigating the incident.
