Bahrain Mirror: The High Appeals Court upheld a verdict sentencing 5 appellants to 10 years in prison and a 6th appellant to 7 years over acquiring explosive materials and causing a blast in Ma'amir village.

The Public Prosecution referred the suspects to trial after accusing them of acquiring explosives without a license from the Minister of Interior, aiming at using them in an activity that disrupts public peace and for a terrorist aim. The prosecution also accused the suspects from the first till the fifth of causing a blast for a terrorist aim, deliberately setting fire to movables, taking part, along with other unknowns, in an assembly of more than 5 persons as well as acquiring Molotov.

The prosecution accused the sixth suspect of providing the first suspect with the bomb and agreeing on committing crimes. A first-instance court sentenced the appellants from the first till the fifth to 10 years in prison and the sixth one to 7 years and ordered the confiscation of seized items.
